Welcome to “Madison’s community-based art gallery” showcasing over 200 local artists, featuring fine original art & affordable gifts. We are located on the near East Side of Madison, WI in the Schenk/Atwood neighborhood. We share a joint hallway and amazing backyard with Cafe Zoma, that looks over the Atwood Community Gardens and Capital City Bike Trail.

Absolutely Art hosts Artists Opening Receptions the first Friday of every month from 5p-9p. This is our opportunity to highlight two individual artists or group shows. The opening receptions are a chance to see what’s new, have some wine, listen to live local music, and enjoy food from our favorite restaurant Bunky’s Cafe.

Twice a year Absolutely Art opens up our backyard to offer our Re-Art Swap. This event recently won the NICHE 2010 Top Retailer Award for Best Promotional Event. The Re-Art Swap is a chance for the community to clean out their art studio, garage and house. They bring these still usable art supplies and swap them for some new inspiration or just leave them behind for someone else. This is a great chance to meet old and new friends, recycle and get inspired.

Absolutely Art is committed to our community and continually participates in local events.

Cornerstone Shop & Gallery

The St. Petersburg Clay Company is one of the largest ceramic facilities in the Southeastern United States. Founded in 1996 by clay artists Stan Cowen, Russ Gustafson-Hilton and Charlie Parker, The St. Petersburg Clay Company Strives to support ceramic artists worldwide. Our facilities currently support over 40 member artists and a growing Artist In Residence Program. Our studio is open to the public Tuesday – Saturday, 10am-5pm. In addition to renting out space and working as a functioning studio, we sell one of a kind, locally made ceramic art; we offer private lessons, workshops, tours and have numerous events and gallery openings throughout the year.

UniquExpressions, American Art & Craft Gallery was founded in 2007 by Tara Hall. With the mission of supporting the finest American & Canadian artisans, Tara spends countless hours searching for Unique, handcrafted, decorative, functional and wearable art.

“I never stop looking for that great find! I am so lucky to be able to meet all of these wonderful people. The best thing about what I do is being able to see the passion that these artists have for what they do and I get to represent that! I take great pride in the selections that I make and love telling the stories of each and every one I meet.”

The gallery, originally in Columbus, Georgia, relocated in October 2008 to Downtown Pine Mountain, Georgia and now has approximately 3000 square feet devoted to the creative work of over 100 local, American & Canadian artist. The space is beautifully decorated and filled with unique surprises around every corner. UniquExpressions is not a place to simply buy products, but one that is a true customer experience, engaging customers senses with good music, interesting conversation and the experience of touching and interacting with the products. Customers are invited to become “involved”.
